Dynatrace
Setting Up a Dynatrace Source
Setting up a data source in the Aisera platform is a 2-phase process.
In the first phase, you set up an integration, so your data source credentials are authenticated on the Aisera platform.
In the second phase, you configure and set the parameters for the data that will be sent to the Aisera platform.
After you have performed these tasks, the data source will be available for you to associate with new bots/agents that you are creating.
Setting Up the Integration
To set up the authentication parameters for Dynatrace:
Select the Settings > Integration command from the left navigation menu of the Aisera Administration Application.
Choose the + New Integration button.
Since Dynatrace is one of our default (out-of-the-box) integration choices, select the Traces > Dynatrace option.
IMPORTANT: The next steps are specific to your implementation of Dynatrace, such as the endpoint you connect to and your access token or other authorization credentials. If you have not set up your Dynatrace implementation, or you do not know how to connect or access the Dynatrace APIs, find this information before you continue. For your convenience, the Dynatrace documentation is here:
https://docs.dynatrace.com/docs/dynatrace-api/basics/dynatrace-api-authentication
Choose a name for your Dynatrace connection.
Add the endpoint for your Dynatrace implementation.
Select the Public checkbox, if the endpoint url is public. If it’s not Public, uncheck the box.
Add your Dynatrace API access token.
Configuring Your Dynatrace Data Source
To configure your Dynatrace implementation as an Aisera data source:
Select the Settings > Data Sources command from the left navigation menu of the Aisera Administration Application.
Click on the + New Datasource button.
Choose a name for your data source.
Select an option from the Functions drop-down menu.
Choose an option from the Data Types drop-down menu.
Click the Next button.
If the options you’ve chosen require further configuration, you will see configuration options at this stage.
After you’ve set the configurations, click Next.
If you want to include overrides or transformation scripts, add them in the Overrides window.
Click Next.
View Your New Data Source
Now that you’ve configured your Dynatrace connection, you can choose to use it with a new or existing agent/bot.
To view your new data source:
Choose Settings > AiseraGPT from the left navigation menu of the Aisera Administration Application.
Pick an existing agent/bot, or create a new one.
While looking at your agent/bot details page, select + New Data Source.
Now Dynatrace data source is an option for your bot. Select Dynatrace as a source.
Click OK.
Your Dynatrace connection will now show up under the Data Sources section of your agent/bot details window.
