Set Up a Data Source

Now that you've created a virtual assistant, you need to have a source of information for your bot. The data source you use will depend on the purpose of your bot.

When you set the EDP field for your bot, you chose the purpose/type of assistant that you wanted to create.

To Add a Data Source:

1. While you are viewing the AiseraGPT Details Window, choose the + Add Data Source button.

1. An example of possible data sources for different EDP types is shown in the table below.

EDP	Possible Data Source
IT	System or Process Manuals
HR	Employee Handbook
Customer Service	Knowledge Base Articles

When you set the EDP field for your bot, you chose the purpose/type of assistant that you wanted to create.

1. After you click the + Add Data Source button, you see the list of available data sources. Make sure you choose a data source that corresponds with the EDP that you chose.

1. After you've added a data source, it will show up on the AiseraGPT Details Window for your virtual assistant.

After you have added a data source to your Aisera tenant instance, you can view AIOps Analytics, Create Major Incidents, Perform Ticket Clustering, Detect Problem Trends, Investigate Impact and Root Cause Analysis.
