Veeva Vault

Veeva Vault is a cloud-based content management platform used mostly by Life Sciences companies to store, manage, and track regulated documents and critical information throughout the product development and commercialization process.

The fields of the Veeva Vault platform are mapped to the Aisera Gen AI Platform by default.

To integrate an Aisera instance with your Veeva Vault platform, you need to add an Aisera Service User to your Veeva Vault system that has Read permissions (and may need to have Write permissions depending on your use cases).

Create an Aisera Service User

Create a service user account that can log into your Zendesk instance. This user only needs Read permissions (with Export ability) to transfer data to the Aisera platform DB. If you plan to use Ticket Concierge, Knowledge Generation, or other features that write back to your Zendesk system, this user will need Read/Write permission (with Import/Export ability). This user does not need Execute or Delete permissions because all Aisera operations will be performed, tracked, and logged in the Aisera cloud.

Veeva Integration

Before you begin the system integration, determine whether your Veeva platform uses Basic or OAuth user authentication, and gather the authorization credentials that you used for your new Aisera User account.

To integrate your Veeva platform with your Aisera instance:

1. Navigate to Settings > Integration.

2. Select + New Integration

3. Enter Veeva in the search field.

4. Choose the Veeva icon and click Next.

1. Select Basic or OAuth for the authentication type. If you chose Basic, enter the Username and Password.

1. If you chose OAuth, enter the Authorization URL, Client Id, Client Secret, and Access Token URL that is associated with the Aisera User that you created for your Veeva system.

Create your Aisera Bot Parameters

The next step is to create your Aisera bot General Parameters and assign a Data Source that your bot can use. Choose Veeva as your Data Source.

Use a test to determine the mapped fields

If you want to know which fields are mapped by default to the Veeva system to be used by your bot:

1. Create a test bot

2. Add a Veeva test environment as a Data Source for your bot.

3. Run a Data Integration Job.

4. Review the fields used on the Data Source Details page after your ingestion job is finished.
