# Exporting Field Mappings

## Exporting Fields

The **Export Fields** button exports all field mappings for the current data source as a JSON file. A confirmation prompt will appear before the export begins. On success, the file will be dowloaded automatically and named `DataSource_Field_Mappings_<dataSourceId>.json`.

The exported file can be used as a backup or as the input file for [importing mappings](https://docs.aisera.com/aisera-platform/adding-data-to-your-tenant/data-ingestion/field-mappings/importing-field-mappings) into another data source.
